• Rectory Lane Cemetery, Hertfordshire, 2017, Competition

This commended entry proposes the building of eight brick structures. Forming seating, a shelter and entrance pillars, these additions would join the existing family of brick-built elements that support the cemetery today.

Named for a work of local poet William Cowper, our entry ‘The Nightingale and the Glow Worm’ celebrates the complimentary and age-old pairing of brick and stone.
